🏅 Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music Battery Life

On one side I like Garmin, but if their battery deteriorates to 25% within 2.5 years, and they think that is normal and they leave users with this problem, then I don't want another Garmin device ever. I don't think paying 115 EUR for a used VA3 with a 3-month warranty is doing me any favor, especially since new VA3 can be found for just a bit My Vivoactive 3 battery life was terrible since the last update 7.30 ( see my last entry ) Since then I performed a Hard Reset to my device and reset to my settings. I charged the device to 100% and left it switch on. It has now gone 52 hours which includes a 2.75 hour recorded walk and I had 44% left on the battery. Vivo active 3 battery life. After a recent software update the battery life on the active 3 has been reduced to less than 12hrs a day. At 20% it would drain within 3hrs. This is using basic settings and no GPS. Previously the battery life would last up to a week without using GPS or several days when using the GPS for ride tracking. The most obvious competitor for the VivoActive 3 Music is Garmin’s own ForeRunner 645 Music. At a list price of $450 is a coll $150 more than the VivoActive 3. What you get for this price is a not too dissimilar watch to be honest. It loses the touchscreen but gains 5 physical buttons, that make it better to operate while sporting and a Garmin vivoactive 3 battery life. The Vivoactive is a decent budget option. It is one of the cheaper watches with GPS that exist today. Considering the price, it’s pretty nice that this watch can still last up to 7 days in smartwatch mode. In GPS mode you can expect a maximum of 13 hours. This should suffice for day trips. The Vivoactive 5 claims up to 11 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to 21 hours with GPS. That’s a significant improvement compared to 8 days and 18 hours on the vivoactive 4. The VivoActive 4 starts at $350, with two different sizes (the 40mm VivoActive 4S and the 45mm VivoActive 4), which is higher than the VivoActive 3's recent sale prices by a considerable margin. 0 Martin over 3 years ago in reply to Al P you know, I've entered the screen with a long B depress so many times, and have been completely blind to the obvious battery indicator.
